First Aid Friday – First aid and resuscitation kits checks

Do you know where the “Major Haemorrhage” and “Asthma/Anaphylaxis” kits are? Do you know what they contain? The resuscitation and first aid equipment checks are vital to ensure we are equipped in an emergency, and everyone knows where everything is. Checklists are located on the wall in the first aid room, in the first aid kits and the resuscitation bags. While there is widespread good will in relation to this important practice (THANK YOU) there is variability in the execution of 2 important steps i.e., restocking and informing the first aid officer of missing or expired stock. The cupboards in the first aid are not locked and labelled for your convenience (email the First Aid Officer: firstaid.officer@dyslsc.org.au if something is missing/you have a question) Please read the attached as a reminder. It would also be appreciated if the first aid room floor could be swept and washed on Sundays (our cleaners cannot clean the FA room for O H & S reasons!!)
